Photojournalism : Photosequence

Let me share to you what am i going to study.For this sem,we all are going to study about "Photojournalism"..

"Photojournalism is a particular form of journalism (the collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for publication or broadcast) that creates images in order to tell a news story. Photojournalism is distinguished from other close branches of photography (documentary,social documentary,street or celebrity photography) by the qualities of:

• Timeliness — the images have meaning in the context of a recently published record of events.

• Objectivity — the situation implied by the images is a fair and accurate representation of the events they depict in both content and tone.

• Narrative — the images combine with other news elements to make facts relatable to the viewer or reader on a cultural level.

Like a writer, a photojournalist is a reporter but he or she must often make decisions instantly and carry photographic equipment,often while exposed to significant obstacles (physical danger,weather,crowds).

Actually P.J ni fokus more to story of the picture,of the event,of the moment..For me lah.Having fun to be a P.J ni because of,

a)of course la banyak berjalan kan!! ^.^

b)exploring many types of photograpy any event or any moment and many more lah!! it can be anything

To learn about P.J,for the basic,we should know about 'PHOTOSEQUENCE"..Ape tu photosequence???Ha..Photosequence is actually a story telling..How???Orait,let me tell huh..The example is,when you go to the "pasar" normally theres a makcik or pakcik jual some kuih right?emm,goreng pisang maybe.U should snap from the first step they fried it..Daripada bancuh tepung,campur dengan air,garam,gaul..everything lah sampai jadilah pisang goreng tu..Tadaaaa~~ hehe..That what a story telling..We understand what the makcik or pakcik trying to do..Easy kan..But to find the creative subject are not too easy.U can deal,maybe..If not??

That what i am going to study and its a basic..We will learn more from our best lecturer..Wish us luck..If this basic is success,i'll show it to you..Insyaallah..If not,i'll try until i get the best one!!
